Making of GATE 2015 preparation Guide
This GATE preparation guide is the result of one few years of experience with post GATE situation. Hope we learn more in 2014 and make a better Guide for GATE 2015 preparations.
I will be updating each section as soon as we make complete details about it. We are in the process of making it happen and request all of you to actively participate in surveys and polls to give as accurate and helpful as possible information to the students who are coming from the path we already traveled.
I expect a similar support from a wide student community across the nation and request all of you to share with your friends, juniors, and classmate. On the same time please constantly support the bigger community with the information and experience you have.

I have avg cgpa of 5.5 in BE EXTC ..i was not interested in extc but still i chose it coz i was having no option my marks were poor in 12th so i had to manage at that time so is there any hope that i will get in CSe in IIT i am interested in that field .is there any hope for me i am preparing for gate right now

I completed my b.e and I want to pg .but I am confused .I want to go to company job and good salary so which course can I take to m.e or mech. Some are saying when we take m.e course mean only we get lecture job. I am not interested in lecture teaching job .I interested to for a company job only for that which course I can select in pg m.e or mtech for company jobs.pls reply me as soon as possible

I hv completed my B.E Chemical from an avg colg in 2014 with 78.93% and couldn’t crack gate vth 20.64 in 2014. I m offered a job bt its a low scale salary in MNC. I hv joined gate preparation via postal, as I want to get into a reputed college IIT, NIT. Bt am nt sure dat wud it b wise to go for gate preparation and not joining d job? Now am confused whether to go for gate 2015 or job?
i think u should focus on gate if u really want to get admission in iit or reputated clg………..

I am a graduate of 2012 in Mechanical Engineering. From past two years I am working in Pvt Company and my salary package is also good (4, 32,000 P.A.) but I feel something is missing in my life and I want to do big in my life. So I decided to try for GATE-2015 but I am from middle class family so I can’t quite job and prepare for GATE full time, so I joined weekend coaching classes also. From last 2 weeks I am going to class am studying 3-4 hrs every day. But I am an average student so I didn’t get confidence that I can clear the GATE so my mind is changing now, n I am thinking to stop coaching classes. Please sir help me, Is it possible to Crack GATE with doing 8-9 hr Job???? And after GATE also I have only one option PUS’s, I can’t stop earning money (Family Issues).
So Sir please suggest is it possible to crack GATE with Good Marks (for PSU) with doing job??? N what should i do for that????? Or shall I concentrate on my Job only.

I am a graduate of 2013 in cse engineering. I wanted to pursue mtech from a nice college but my entrance exam (GATE 2013) rank was poor and i couldnt manage to. I had then joined a company as a trainee software engineer. Its a year now that i have joined but i am feeling now that i have not learnt anything in this tenure. Besides, the work doesnt interest me as its more of a stereotype work and no brainstorming to do.My office hours are 7 30 am to 4 30 pm and i come home by 6 30 pm. I dont have work at office and everyday i have to kill time as am idle.reading newspapers arent allowed in the office. I am planning to take up the preparation for GATE 2015 once again and want to get a v good score as i want to shift to the research sector. Is this what IT sectors are like? No work and just killing time, pretending that u are working a lot? my first job has nipped the blossom in the bud of my interest towork in an IT firm. Now i want to start studying seriously for the exam. I have decent understanding of the basics. I was wondering if i should quit my job around september which would leave me with 6 months to prepare, meanwhile i keep preparing in the time i am back from office. But after office i am too exhausted to study. I tried studying a few days with a lot of determination, but then when i reach office, all my motivation is lost when i return home that day as there is no competitive environment around. Or should i continue my job?and how do i get the determination to study
