GATE Study Material

As I mentioned earlier, conducted two surveys during April 2010 to July 2010 regarding GATE recommended GATE coaching centers and study material. In GATE study material survey almost 600 students participated. In this post I will try to give pointers to the GATE study materials related to different subjects.

Compilation of the survey results took so much time, whereas reader were asking for more and more details about GATE study books and other related information. Please visit how to start preparing for GATE to get an idea how to use Book for GATE preparation and how question papers and question banks will help.

The survey focused on Books based on GATE syllabus that helped many students to crack GATE or at least was helpful to understand the basic concepts. Along with books I also recommend you to refer to question banks and other GATE specific study material, Brilliant Tutorial, GATE forum or some books that give all in one preparation material. Do not forget to visit GATE Video lectures for a great learning experience from IITs and other universities in the world.

For some subjects there are multiple books, don’t get confused which one to start. The best book to start with is the book you read before during academic year. It will save your time to learn the concepts as you are already know and if you have any doubts you can refer to the other books. Best thing is to have an own book and other book either can be borrowed from library or from other friend.

The survey is conducted as an effort to make a complete guide for GATE preparation.
