NIT Silchar M.Tech Admissions 2009

National Institute of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) is one of the first NITs established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College (REC) at Silchar. NIT Silchar is situated on the banks of river Barak with a beautiful campus of 450 acres with great infrastructure for engineering studies.

Courses: M.Tech in different departments
Department of Civil Engineering: Water Resources Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering
Department of mechanical engineering: Thermal Engineering, Design and Manufacturing
Department of Electrical Engineering: Power and Energy System Engineering, Control & Industrial Engineering
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering: Microelectronics and VLSI Design

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area with at least 60% marks or 6.5 in CGPA/CPI on a 10 point scale.
MSc in electronics or Electronics Science with valid GATE scores (for admission in Microelectronics and VLSI Design)
Valid GATE scores for Regular (full-time) students for receiving Institute Assistantship only.

Date of Interview : 21.07.09
