IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Admission 2024 – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur offers Admission to M.Tech programmes Applications are invited for admission into Joint M.Tech. Programmes for the academic year 2024. For all previous and late IIT Kharagpur courses and category-wise GATE cutoffs do visit IIT Kharagpur M.Tech cutoffs.
IIT Kharagpur applications have to be submitted Online only. The website for online applications is open from March 2023 to April 2023.
Admission will be the basis of GATE score (70 % weightage) and personal interview (30 % weightage) A candidate who fails to appear for the personal interview will not be considered for admission for that specialization.
Students seeking admission in M.Tech course at IIT Kharagpur have to fill the online application form and register for Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Seats are allotted through COAP on the basis of scores in GATE in the order of merit.
Admission to the Joint M.Tech programme of the Institute is open to all Regular applicants with assistantship ( through GATE) B.Tech students graduated/graduated from IITs having a CGPA 8.00 or above (out of 10) Sponsored applicants can also apply at IIT Kharagpur.

IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- For institutes awarding degrees based on aggregate marks secured in all years of the qualifying degree
(a) GE/OBC/EWS: Min. of 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale)
(b) SC/ST/PwD: Min. of 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale) - For institutes awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in the final two semesters or final year of the qualifying degree
(a) GE/OBC/EWS: Min. of 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale)
(b) SC/ST/PwD: Min. of 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale).
IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Admission 2024: Online Application
Application for Joint M.Tech is to be submitted only by an online process on the IIT Kharagpur website from March 2024. Candidates are required to register in the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) first before applying to IIT Kharagpur.
