IIT Madras M.Tech Admission 2024: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras offers Admission to M.Tech programmes for the academic year 2024. For all previous and late IIT Madras courses and category-wise GATE, cutoffs do visit IIT Madras M.Tech cutoffs.
Indian Institute of Madras offers M.Tech admission for the academic year 2024-25 for the various streams of the M.Tech program through their GATE Scores.
IIT Madras M.Tech Admission application starts on March 2024 and ends on April 2024.
Candidates GATE qualified in 2020 & 2021, 2022, 2023 and IIT Graduates with B.Tech. degree students can apply in IIT Madras M.Tech course. All M.Tech admission offers (through GATE) will be displayed on the common offer acceptance portal (COAP). Candidates must register at the COAP portal for viewing and accepting their offers. COAP registration number is a mandatory field for registration on the M.Tech applications portal of IIT Madras. Candidates need to apply in online mode only.

IIT Madras M.Tech Admission 2024 Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture from educational Institutions approved by AICTE/ Government
- Master’s degree in Chemistry/ Life Sciences/ Mathematics/ Physics related subjects from educational Institutions approved by UGC/ Government
- Degrees obtained through Distance Education/ Correspondence Mode for the qualifying degree. The Departments will follow suitability test/ interview procedure for screening in such cases.
- Candidates yet to appear or have appeared in the final examination for the qualifying degree specified and whose results are likely to be declared by July 2023.
- Candidates with B.Tech. Degree from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 and above can apply without GATE score.
- Associate Membership holders of professional bodies for admission into their parent disciplines from the following:
The Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIE)
The Aeronautical Society of India (AMAeSI) (eligible only for aerodynamics, structures, and propulsions streams)
The Indian Institute of Metals (AMIIM)
The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (AMIIChemE)
The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (AMIETE) - Foreign Nationals who have obtained qualifying degree in India/ Abroad.

IIT Madras M.Tech Admission 2024 Online Application
Application for M.Tech is to be submitted only by an online process on IIT Madras website from March 2024 to April 2024. Candidates are required to register in the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) first before applying to IIT Madras.
