IIIT Delhi invites applications for Master degrees admission in Computer science and engineeing with specialization in Information security. There are two programs offered in M.Tech, one is M.Tech with thesis and another one is M.Tech without thesis, for more details please refer to official site.
Eligibility for Admission: M.Tech. in the Information Security is a very challenging program, which under-prepared students may find tough. The minimum eligibility criterion for this program is B.Tech./B.E. in CS/IT/ECE/EE with at least 7.5 CGPA (out of 10) or 75% or equivalent. We expect the candidates to have proper foundations in algorithms and theory, good programming skills, in particular, systems programming, and ability to work hard. Requirements may be relaxed for candidates with relevant experience in the area of security and privacy.
Admission Process: Based on the facts furnished in the application, a screening will be performed and selected candidates will be asked to appear for a competitive entrance process that includes written and programming tests and interview. Written test may be objective or short subjective. Questions will be from Data Structures, Algorithms, Discrete Maths, Theory of Computation, and Probability Theory. In the programming test, candidates will be asked to write and execute a program in one of three languages (C, C++, JAVA). Based on the performance in written and programming tests, selected candidates will be interviewed.
