This is one the most sought information regarding GATE and M.Tech admissions. Though I made my point of view about GATE cutoff score for IITs in how much GATE score is need for IITs, I collected this information for a general idea about GATE scores for IITs.
Please also refer to GATE cutoff for IITs and NITs to get an idea how GATE score is taking variations. In the post I collected GATE cutoff of most of the IITs and took the least scores among them to give an idea about minimum score required to get into any IIT. For NITs the data was given on official site of NIT Trichy about M.Tech admissions in 2009. But unfortunately this year the cut off scores were not announced by NIT Trichy. I mailed them for details but there was no response from any of NIT.
The post I made last year for GATE cutoffs, were circulated all over the internet. And wherever you see GATE cutoff scores are 99% from the posts of Inspire n Ignite. Most of the people just copied from here.
In this effort, I am trying to collect GATE Cutoff for IITs for the year 2010 as a part of GATE preparation Guide. Only official source is considered for accurate information. If you know some more cutoff details of IITs or NITs through an official source please let me. It will definitely benefit the wider student community.
As earlier the information for each IIT is given in to parts. One is a department wise cutoff another is course wise cutoff. The cutoff information for IITs is as follows.

My coming posts on number of M.Tech seats in IITs would help better in analyzing the rank required for admission into IITs.
