Where To Get GATE 2011 Application Forms

Many friends asked me about where to get GATE forms despite of a clear link given in official site about where to find GATE forms. I present the information from official site to help all those who missed it on official site.

There are two ways to get the GATE application form. First is through bank by cash payment.

Please find the city name and corresponding bank address in below table. Visit the back and make a cash payment of Rs 1000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST/PD) and get the hard copy of application form.

If your city is not mentioned in above table you can still get GATE form by post on sending Demand Draft of Rs 1000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST/PD) payable at the city of the respective zonal GATE office as given in the table below. Do send it by registered post or speed post by which you can have evidence and track your snail mail, otherwise your DD and letter may miss in huge Indian Postal Department without a single clue.

After submission of application form if you want to change the examination city you need you make a DD (demand draft) for Rs.400 to the respective zonal GATE office as given in the above table.

Though the offline applications are issued by IISc and IITs they clearly mentioned that online applications a preferred over offline ones and there is also a reduction in application fee if you opt for online application. The cost of online application for General/OBC candidate is Rs.800/- and for SC/ST/PD candidates is Rs.400/-. To fill online GATE application form please visit GATE 2011 online application form.
