As the last ranks were not accessible for CET in Karnataka for last year, initially I ranked them based on infrastructure and faculties, but not very satisfying. Thanks to few people who shared the last ranks details of 2007 through official information helped me to finally make ranking of engineering colleges in Karnataka based on CET ranks admitted to colleges in Karnataka.
For ranking engineering colleges in Karnataka and make the best possible list I considered two branches initially ECE and CSE and in case of tie MECH and EEE are considered. Most of the ranking pretty stable and I don’t think they will change over a course of time. Being to the intellectual community – I personally feel that St Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore is quite under rated. no other other college in sothern india including NITs can match us in extra cirricular activities. although i got an average rank of 3899 in cet 2008 – I’m satisfied with all major ascepts here except reputation to some extend…………. also just 10 min from my home………..i don’t find any major benifits of leading an unplesant hostel life in Bangalore…………

hello, I wanna about possibilities of changing engineering college from a rural place to a urban place after having beign studying for one year up there,as Im not getting a seat in my home town and i happened tp hear that shifting is possible at an affordable cost ,so will it be alright if I select a college temporarily beliving that it can be changed later .one more thing it should be applicable for colleges only in karnataka,do reply immedeatly ………/
Mohd Aman Kareem: It is possible but someone, its like an exchange of seat. Someone must be ready to move to your place. As college collect fee, and after taking admission you move to other college, they loose a seat as well as fee for four years.

The ranking list is giving a good idea about the colleges but they need to be updated as the colleges are developing rapidly.

sir, the rankings for engineering colleges in karnataka which has been described would have been proper guide for a student who was taking a seat some 4 years back but not for students who are taking seats this o next year.. sir, things have changed rapidly in the recent past, one thing that i can tell is that you have not considered the results of the college and its faculty while giving this ranks..
