IIT Patna M.Tech Admission Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna offers Admission to M.Tech programmes Applications are invited for admission into M.Tech. Programmes for the academic year. All department and category-wise IIT Patna GATE cutoffs are available at IIT Patna M.Tech Cutoffs.
IIT Patna The website for the online application is open from March. Admission will be the basis of GATE score (70 % weightage) and personal interview (30 % weightage) A candidate who fails to appear for the personal interview will not be considered for admission for that specialization.
Students seeking admission in M.Tech course at IIT Patna have to fill out the online application form and register for Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Seats are allotted through COAP on the basis of scores in GATE in the order of merit.

Admission to the M.Tech programme of the Institute is open to all Regular applicants with assistantship ( through GATE) B.Tech students who graduated/graduated from IITs having a CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 for General/OBC/EWS categories and 6.0 on 10 point scale for SC/ST categories.

No application shall be received after the last date of April. The candidates are advised to post the application along with the required documents well in advance as the institute will not be responsible for any postal delay.
IIT Patna M.Tech Admission Offline Application
Candidates are required to submit applications offline. They should use the form available on the IIT Patna website. The candidates are required to send an application duly signed along with self-attested copies of mark sheets & certificates (from class X to the highest degree obtained/appeared), caste certificate (if applicable), GATE /Relevant certificate, experience certificate, other testimonials (both sides) and printed e-receipt of online payment to the following address to reach latest by April 2024.
Candidates who apply for more than one specialization should make separate applications for each specialization. They have to pay a separate application fee per application. No call letter will be sent by post. Candidates should check email and website regularly for important information. At the time of the test/interview, a candidate must bring his/her valid original Identity card.
