College of Engineering Pune (COEP) invites applications for admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, Instrumentation and Control and Mechatronics.
Eligibility for admission:
Candidates will be considered eligible for admission to various M.Tech. programmes on the basis of their qualifying examination with at least 55% marks [open] and 50% marks [reserved category] and valid GATE score in the subjects as detailed given in admission Boucher.
Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE for example AMIE by IE(I) or AME by ICE(I) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech., and who have valid GATE score are also eligible for various PG programmes.
Admission Procedure:
Depending upon the number of applications received for each program, appropriate criteria will be applied for short listing the candidates to be called for interview.
Admissions will be effected strictly as per inter se merit on the basis of valid GATE Score in the appropriate branch (Refer official website) and performance in the Interview. The merit list will be prepared based on Total marks secured out of 100 ( GATE 70 and Interview 30).

look saurabh creating a website is not a typical task i can do it in 1 days….i m in microsoft my working hrs is 16 i have not enough time…but still i m taking some time from my working hrs to take a post there so that students get write information u want to listen why then listen………
i firstly gave gate in 2003 i just qualify the gate bcz u know gate 2003 is toughest exam then i again try for 2004 and unfortunately i again not get iit bombay..so i think to societe but a professor save my life with his talk…..
after that in 2005 i again do gate and got air 11…at that time when i met my professor he said to me”preeti always help the students who really need help..if there guideline can provide better resource for them then i will feel happy”

There r always chances of different order bcoz some have upperhand in faculty, some in placements some in both & few in none 😀

Let me share few point with you and all others here.
1. Calling for rank 2500 in IITB was for MS not M.Tech in CS. If you or any other have some official information please share with all of us.
2. BITS Pilani is one of the best colleges in India. Few students cry everywhere they can not be taken as a sample for judging some Institute. Even IITs have lots of those kind of students. Believe me BITS is far better than any other Deemed or private university in India.
3. I dont add private college information for M.Tech admission because there are so many govt. colleges to cover. Govt. colleges dont advertise many times where as private colleges advertise many times in many places. I believe when Inspire n Ignite community grow, we can cover that too 🙂 I guess that is from next year.
4. I am not quick in answering comments, because I have a day job, on inspire n ignite working for community forum and moving it too a new home (new server)
I hope these cleared all the points here. Please move on to other posts. Wish you all a great luck…

what is the cutoff for coep last year
I got interview call at iitb for ctara and mmm courses. mech. air 2741.
and another int call for manufacturing for RA. ra is only 1 or 2 seats. they called 400 students. ctara called 800. mmm called 400. 150 appeared for ctara and mmm. manuf is on 7 july.
and if u have not believe in me then i will give u the refrence of student that are studing in bits pilani….so please….

there is so much diffrence in gate ranking and aieee ranking how can u compare both one is pg level and another is ug level…
nit hamirpur is contain 9.4 ranking out of 10 but u give it 14th rank ,nit jamshedpur at 6th rank but check urs……. please collect data absolute after that post ……dont give wrong guidence to students and if u can’t give tell my id i will do absolute…..and to a student u said that iit bombay will never call on 2500 rank so he not fill the form but iit bombay call upto 2500 rank so plz…..

Preeti: Thank you soo much for dropping by. Where did NIT Hamirpur got 9.4 out of 10. I didnt get this point. sorry for it if in case i missed it. On the same time your refer to GATE cutoffs in NITs for 2009 that I already published here, which also says that there is no much difference. To share with you, not even all candidates join NIT Hamirpur in M.Tech CSE during the year 2010. If you know someone there you can confirm it.
I alway would like to share right and correct information and I will correct it the moment I find it. This year IITB direct admission cut off for CS was 889.0,801.0,607.0,595.0
(OPEN,OBC,SC,ST) I guess base on the data I collected it is less 150 AIR for general. For other cutoff details after admission I will post after completion admissions. If you have more data please share with all of us.

Preeti Sharma: Can you give reference and please mention the whole scenario, where and what guidance you are talking about. The NIT ranking is based on absolute value of AIEEE and placement information shared by the institutes. I never did any ranking by own personal choice. If you have any better way of ranking please help us to improve 🙂
