Ranking engineering colleges is a difficult task and when it comes to ranking Engineering colleges in Andhara Pradesh (AP), the task become much more difficult. There are several reasons for that. First is separation of Minority colleges, second is regional preferences and now Telangana issue made it a totally difficult to rightly rank colleges. In 2010 when I ranked engineering colleges in AP, colleges around Hyderabad were clearly domination the show, like colleges around Bangalore and Chennai. Now in 2012 because few regional issues students choices are influenced and hence the ranking of engineering colleges in AP.
I made this ranking based on EAMCET closing ranks in computer science, electronics, and electrical engineering in various colleges. I always consider better student quality leads to a better placement, better trend in colleges, that is reason why closing ranks are important for my ranking. Another important thing, MJCET (Mufakam Jah College of engineering) is not added to ranking, but they stand close to CBIT and Vasavi. I would rank minority colleges in AP in coming posts if I get authenticated data.

If you ask me I would say ranking really don’t matter much after top 15 colleges. All colleges have same infrastructure and same level of teaching staff. The thing that counts is the passion you carry on with. Most of engineering colleges in AP don’t get good students because AP gives cream students to IITs, NITs and IIITs. Therefore it’s up to you to show up great and nail engineering.
