Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA) 2011 is administered by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Applications are invited for admission to M.Tech in different Govt., Govt. Aided and Self-financing Institutes in the states. The admissions are offered in different branches of engineering. Do refer to official notification for further details.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who have passed all the subjects in the recognised qualifying degree with a minimum of 50 % marks for General category and 45 % marks for reserved categories, BC / BCM / MBC & DNC / SC / SCA / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, in the qualifying examination.
(1) With TANCET 2011 score. (or)
(2) With valid GATE score and qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship in the appropriate discipline of Engineering / Technology. (or)
(3) With valid GATE score and qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers along with TANCET 2011 score.

Application Form:
IN PERSON: Application form can be obtained IN PERSON by Cash / Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- for General (Rs. 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate card) towards registration fee.
BY POST: Application form can also be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 600/- for general (Rs. 350/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu by enclosing a copy of Permanent Community Certificate card), (includes postal charges) along with a requisition letter and an address slip written in capital letters from the Secretary, TANCA, Anna university, Chennai – 600 025.
REGISTRATION THROUGH INTERNET: The application form, information and instructions to candidates are available in the official website. The print out of application and registration fee for Rs. 500/- for General (Rs.250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu by enclosing a copy of Permanent Community Card) in the form of a Demand Draft should be sent along with all enclosures.
