IIT ISM Dhanbad M.Tech Admissions 2023 Eligibility
For GATE Candidates
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent or a Master’s degree in Science, from the institutes recognized by UGC/AICTE/Government.
- Candidates with equivalent degree and discipline of professional bodies (like Institution of Engineers (India), Institute of Chemical Engineers, Aeronautical Society of India, Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, Indian Institute of Metals, etc.) are not eligible to apply in any M. Tech programmes of this institute.
- Candidates must have a valid GATE score in the appropriate GATE Paper
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech. Programmes of the Institute should have a Minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI of 6.0 in 10 point scale
For IIT Graduates - Candidates graduating/ graduated from IITs with B.Tech. A degree having CGPA of 8.00 and above (on a scale of 10) can apply without GATE Score. The respective department as per allocated seats will review such applications. The number of seats for such candidates will be super numeric
IIT ISM Dhanbad M.Tech Admissions 2023 Procedure
- The online application form is required to be submitted through the online portal, which will remain available on the IIT(ISM) website from March 2023, to April 2023.
- The GATE candidates will also have to register themselves at GATE COAP 2023. The admission of IIT Graduates and Sponsored candidates will be carried out through the online portal of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. After filling out the form, the candidates are advised to take a print of the application and keep the same for record.
- Candidates can apply for more than one programme and can select up to 10 preferences.
- Non-refundable application fee for each programme for GATE candidates/IIT Graduates is Rs. 500/- for UR/EWS/OBC candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/Women candidates. The application fee needs to be paid through an online payment gateway only along with the online application.
- Non-refundable Application fee for each programme for all Sponsored candidates is Rs. 2000/-
- M. Tech. admission will be through online counselling based on the GATE score and CGPA and Departmental Review (for IIT Graduates)
- The image quality of the uploaded documents must be good enough to enable easy verification of the documents/items.

The fee Structure per Semester is given below. The candidate is required to deposit the first-semester fee including the Admission Fee, when the candidate, through an online portal, finally accepts the admission.
