College of Engineering Pune (COEP) invites applications for admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, Instrumentation and Control and Mechatronics.
Eligibility for admission:
Candidates having bachelor degree in relevant field of engineering (refer to official website) will be considered for admission to the respective programs.
Admissions will be effected strictly as per inter se merit on the basis of valid GATE Score in the appropriate branch of Engineering. for details please refer the admission brochure.
When enough GATE qualified candidates in the respective branch are notavailable, the vacant seats will be offered to the non-GATE candidates, as per merit.

marks secured out of 100 as indicated below:-
GATE Score 70 marks
Interview /Viva-voce 30 marks
Total 100 marks
Candidates securing less than 50 marks [45 in case of SC/ST/OBC] will not
be admitted even though vacancy exists.
my GATE score is 394.(EE) (GEN)
what’s the criteria followed for 70 mark evaluation of GATE SCORE???
(1). 0.35 x (gate score) + 0.15 x (BE%) + 0.10 x (12th%) + 0.10 x (10th%)
or (2). 35 x (gate score/1000) + 0.15 x (BE%) + 0.10 x (12th%) + 0.10 x (10th%)
0r (3). 70 x (gate score/1000)
My marks as per above choices are:
(1). 166 out of 385 (350+15+10+10) (as per your formula in some blog)
(2). 42 out of 70
(3). 27 out of 70
Kindly reply, the procedure used to calculate it (gate score:70 marks)… So that it would be helpful to decide for many of us visiting dis blog…

i.e. 70 x 166/385 == 30.18

I have one doubt. while filling the form it is written “TOTAL MARKS OBTAINED =_______ OUT OF _____” (if appeared enter last sem marks) what marks to be entered?? all 8 semester total marks or final year marks or last sem marks only ??? i tried their contact numbers . no response…. Please help me on this……..
