10 new NITs in India
New IIT announcements and news coverage overshadowed the new NITs announced in India. These NITs are not included this year AIEEE ranking as I exclusively ranked then based on GATE cutoffs and AIEEE scores. Probably I will add them to next year list because we will official data for them too.
Now the question is to join New NITs are not? If you read my earlier post regarding New IITs or old NITs and state universities, you may know my stand. If I am a student I definitely prefer Govt. run institute over private or deemed universities. The simple reason is Govt. run institutes offer same or better learning facilities on much lower cost. New NITs will participate in central counseling for this year B.Tech admissions.

the new nits dont have an infrastructure now. where will there labs be conducted? where are the students from nit pondichrry going to have there labs? pls reply

I am Andhra pradesh student. My AIEEE rank is 13580. I have got admission in EEE branch in NIT pondicherry after this yr 4th counsling. And my local EAMCET rank in AP is 1890. So, After Eamcet counsling i have a fair chances of getting admission in CBIT (a top private college) in Hyderabad,AP.
Please , suggest me which one I can opt either NIT pondicherry or CBIT. I really need your help. please help me..

my daughter’s AIR is 33000.Does she have any oppurtunity in getting into NIT.Tricy(TN state rank is 560) and got a chance in NIT.puducherry.She has got admission (IT)in top private college in chennai(SSN).In case if she gets a seat in NIT.Tricy(metallurgy ) or NIT.puducherry which one is better.
dear sujith,
you should opt NIT ponducherry.it is not only better than any other private institute but also has better placement so far,NIT has better placement,i suggest you to join NIT.

i am nandita 4m vizag..i did my B.TECH in normal private college, its a D-grade college, EEE background with 70% agg., i wrote GATE 2010..but i didnt qualify.. n i wrote regional PG entrance test for M.TECH..i got 998 rank..i will not get in university.. or even goog college.. then also if i get seat in normal B OR C grade college..shall i join in that intitute or not ?? please advice me..sir.
