Malaviya National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jaipur was established by Government of India 1961, as a premiere Indian Engineering School. The institute is located in colorful Jairpur (pink city) and spread over 312 acres (1.26 km2).

Department of Civil Engineering: Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering.
Department of Electrical Engineering: Power Systems,Manufacturing System Engineering, Energy Engineering.
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering: Electronics and Communication Engineering, VLSI Design.
Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering : Metallurgical and Materials Engineering .
Department of Chemical Engineering : Chemical Engineering.
Department of Computer Engineering Computer Engineering.
Eligibility:
B.E./B. Tech. or equivalent degree in relevant engineering or M. Sc. in relevant field with Mathematics at B. Sc. level.
Candidates of general category/OBC seeking admission to the postgraduate programmes must have at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale at the qualifying degree level; SC/ST category candidates, must have 55% marks or 6.25 CGPA on a 10-point scale. The percentage of marks will be considered as aggregate awarded for the qualifying degree. The SC/ST category candidates must submit the requisite certificate from a competent authority along with application form.
The candidates should have valid GATE score.
A candidate who is not having valid GATE Score may also be admitted if vacancy exists. Such candidates will be admitted on merit basis or concerned departments may conduct entrance tests. (which I think a rare possibility).
