IIT JAM 2021 admission is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign) Candidates seeking admission to the academic programmes for the academic year 2021-22 Candidate need to appear in JAM 2021 to get admission in M.Sc.-Ph.D. Joint admission programmes there is no age restriction.
IIT JAM 2021 Examination will be held on 14th February (Sunday) 2021 as a Computer Based Online Examination.
IIT JAM 2021 Application
IIT Joint Admission Test (IIT JAM) Application Process for MSc (JAM) 2021 will be open from 10th September 2020. The candidates who are interested in appearing for the examination can do so by registering on the official website of JAM 2021
Candidates can apply for JAM 2021 only through the JAM Online Application Processing System JOAPS the application will be available from 10th September 2020. A candidate his/her name, a valid E-mail address, a working mobile number, and a password.
IIT JAM 2021 will have seven test papers (i) Biotechnology (BT) (ii) Chemistry (CY) (iii) Economics (EN) (iv) Geology (GG) (v) Mathematics (MA) (vi) Mathematical Sciences (MS) and (vii) Physics (PH) Economics (EN) paper are added newly in this year.

- A high-quality image of the candidate’s photograph conforming and signature conforming to the requirements specified

IIT JAM 2021 Eligibility
- No Age limit is required
- All candidates admitted through JAM should have a Bachelor’s degree.
- In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for the General/OBC (NCL)/EWS category candidates, and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates.
- Foreign nationals with Indian degrees are eligible to apply, subject to the admitting institute’s policy.
- If CGPA/CPI is on a different scale, it would be linearly mapped to a scale on 10.
- For Candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute(s)
At the time of admission, all admitted candidates will have to submit a Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form. At the time of admission, In case a candidate is not found physically fit to pursue his/her chosen course of study, his/her admission is liable to be canceled.
IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card
IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card can be available for download from the JOAPS website from 5th January 2021.
Admit Card is a necessity on the day of Examination. Admit Card bearing the Candidate’s Name, Registration Number, Photograph, Signature, and Name(s) and Code(s) of the Test Paper(s) applied, along with the Name and Address of the Test Centre allotted, will be available. The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card for all the entries made therein. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate should inform the Organizing Chair, JAM 2021, IISc Bangalore immediately.
A printout of the downloaded Admit Card must be brought to the Test Centre along with the original and valid photo identification. The Admit Card of JAM 2021 must be carefully preserved by the candidate and produced at the time of admission if required by the admitting institute.
