Admissions to the B.Tech.programme are made once a year in July through JEE (Main) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in the final examination of the 10+2 system or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one among Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science and Biology as optional subjects. The procedures and other requirements for admission are specified in the JEE (Main) Information Brochure.
B.Tech Eligibility
- Admission to B. Des. Programme is based purely on the basis of the UCEED score and rank conducted by IIT Bombay.
- Age Limit: The candidate should have been born on or after October 01, 1995, if belonging to the GEN or OBC-NCL category, and on or after October 01, 1990, if belonging to the SC, ST, or PwD category.
- A number of attempts: A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. However, UCEED 2015 being the first UCEED examination, will be the first attempt for all candidates.
- Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2014, OR passed or appeared in 2015 for the class XII (or equivalent) examination. Those who appeared for the first time in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2013 or earlier are NOT eligible.
- Certificate of category (OBC / SC / ST /EWS), if applicable, issued by the competent authority. (OBC certificate must be issued on or after 1st April 2019, in central Govt. format)
- Candidates of Maharashtra State need to submit the caste validity certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Undertaking by the candidate regarding OBC (NCL) status in the required format
- Certificate for Persons With Disabilities (PWD), if applicable
- The original receipt/proof of Rs. 35,000/(General/OBC) or Rs. 15,000/-(SC/ST) paid by the candidates as Registration fee at the time of seat allotment.
- Ten passport size color photograph Additionally, you should bring the following duly filled-in forms, downloadable from the Institute website

- Medical Certificate of fitness from the doctor, not below the rank of Senior Medical Officer in prescribed format

Admissions to the M.Tech. programs will be carried out through the CCMT at the time of admissions CCMT no specialization will be allotted to the students.

M.Tech Eligibility
- Candidates must have a minimum 60% or 6.0 CPI/CGPA in B.Tech or equivalent previous qualifying exam
- The students will be given a choice to choose a specialization at the time of admission and will be allocated specialization based on GATE rank.
- All admissions in M.Tech will be through CCMT
- M.Des. admissions will be through Institute level counseling with 10 seats for GATE-qualified and 20 seats for CEED-qualified candidates. In case a seat is not filled from one qualifying exam it will be added to other.
- The candidates admitted through CCMT will be allowed to fill the choice of specialization at the time of final registration in the Institute.
- The candidate will be allotted the specialization based on merit (Gate rank) and availability of seats as per the seat matrix.
- If the first choice is not met, the second choice will be allotted, if available, and vice versa.
- In case number of candidates in specialization are less than 5, the degree will be awarded in the discipline without any specialization.
