JCECE is conducted as a state-level entrance examination, it’s an annual entrance exam to admit qualifying students to various courses. JCECE offers admission in different courses in Engineering, Law, and Medicine. All details about the application, important dates, exam pattern, counseling, etc are given below.
Candidates will get admission into various Government and Private Institutions, Colleges, and Universities of the Jharkhand State. JCECE exam 2024 is divided into three groups (PCM, PCB, and PCMB) based on the course in which candidates are seeking admission.

JCECE 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who satisfy JCECE Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria can apply for the exam. The authority has the right to reject the application form of those candidates who don’t abide by the preset eligibility criteria. So candidates must ensure that they are meeting all the requirements as specified by the exam authority.
- The candidate should be a citizen of India.
- The candidate must be a local/permanent resident in the State of Jharkhand to be eligible for the JCECE.
- The candidates should belong to the below-mentioned age groups. The age criteria for each course are different from each other.

- Fill in the personal details such as Name, Gender, category, etc. Also, enter the correct 13 digits Aadhaar Number in the form

JCECE Exam Pattern 2024
- The JCECE exam will be conducted online mode
- MCQ-type questions will appear in the entrance exam.
- English and Hindi language will be used in the question paper.
- For Biology & Mathematics, the duration is 60 minutes, and 120 minutes for Physics & Chemistry.
- One mark for every correct answer
- There will be a deduction of ¼ marks from the entire score for every incorrect answer.

JCECE Exam 2024 Counselling Process
The counselling process for the examination is carried out in two Rounds that is Round 1 & Round 2
The JCECE board will be preparing a merit list for the candidates based on the JCECE 2022 results. This merit list will have the candidate’s names who are eligible to attend the JCECE 2023 Counselling Process. The counselling will be conducted in two rounds. If seats remain vacant in the first round, there will be a second round to fill them. Document verification will be done on the day of counselling and it requires candidates to get all the original documents for verification.
- After the JCECE exam result declare applicant will be selected based on rank obtained in JCECE 2024.
- The applicant will be allowed to make selections of the Institute and Course/Stream, only after proper verification of all the required original documents.
- After the first round of Counseling, JCECEB chooses to host the second round of counseling if there will be any non-allotted seats even.
- The rules and criteria are similar to the First Round of Counseling.
