The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa shall conduct Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) for admissions to Engineering and Pharmacy, in the state of Goa, for the academic year. Admissions in Architecture shall be based on NATA as per details given under eligibility. Admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy) and BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc.&A.H. and Nursing courses shall be based on NEET UG scores.
Candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Professional Degree courses in MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy), BAMS (Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and Nursing in the colleges within the State of Goa during the academic session, must appear and have a valid score in NEET UG and should fulfill other eligibility criteria. The merit list for these courses shall be based only on the NEET UG score.

GCET Application Form
- Applicants first visit the official website of GCET
- Applicants have to click on the ‘Register’ tab and provide their valid email ID. A password of choice has to be generated
- After the registration process is completed, a verification link will be sent to the registered email ID
- Applicants will have to click on the verification link and log in to fill out the GCET application form with the required personal, academic, and contact details. Photographs and signatures of the candidates should also be uploaded
- Applicants have to pay the application fee of Rs. 2000 in online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card)
- After the fee is paid, the Applicant will be able to select their choice exam center as per preference.
- Submission of Application Form last step the applicants will have to submit the online application form for GCET.

GCET Exam Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have already passed/have appeared, or are appearing at HSSC (Std. XIIth Science) or equivalent examination, before the start of the academic session, are eligible to appear at GCET.
Nationality: Candidates should be Indian nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria under various categories. Non-resident Indians holding Indian passports may apply for seats reserved under the NRI category
Age: Candidate to Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Science, B.V.Sc.&A.H. and Nursing must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December.
Valid Score (GCET/NEET UG/NATA): Candidate in Engineering and Pharmacy, must have appeared and obtained a valid score in GCET for the year of admission. GCET scores of the previous years shall not be valid.
For Medicine, Dentistry, BHMS(Homeopathy), BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc.&A.H. and Nursing Degree courses, an applicant must have appeared and obtained a valid score/rank at NEET UG conducted by NTA.
Qualifying Examination & Minimum Marks: An applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination, which in scope and standard, is deemed to be equivalent to the H.S.S.C. examination of Goa Board, and must have obtained the minimum percentage of marks in the specific subjects, as prescribed for the admission to respective professional courses.

GCET Exam Merit List
Eligibility and Merit List for the admissions of MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy), BAMS (Ayurveda), AHS, B.V.Sc. &A.H. & Nursing courses shall be prepared based on applicant’s performance at NEET, using NEET UG AIR issued, as applicable. For these courses, eligibility and merit list criteria specified by the respective regulatory authority shall be applicable.
GCET Exam Engineering Merit List
- The merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of GCET in the subjects of Physics and Mathematics.
- In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicants with more marks in GCET Mathematics shall be placed higher in the merit list.
- In case the marks in Mathematics are also equal, applicants with more marks in GCET Chemistry will be placed higher on the merit list.
- In case the marks in GCET in Chemistry are also equal, applicants with more aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std. XII) will be placed higher in the merit list. In case of a tie at this stage, an applicant scoring more marks in Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std.XII) will be placed higher in the merit list.
- If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with an earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.
GCET Exam Pharmacy Merit List
- The merit list shall be based on aggregate marks scored at GCET in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry.
- In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicants with more marks in GCET Chemistry shall be placed higher on the merit list.
- In case the marks in GCET in Chemistry are also equal, applicants with more aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry at the qualifying examination (Std.XII) will be placed higher in the merit list. In case of a tie at this stage, the applicant scoring more marks in Chemistry at the qualifying examination (Std.XII) will be placed higher in the merit list.
- If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with an earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.
GCET Exam Architecture Merit List
- The merit list shall be based on an aggregate of marks obtained in NATA and the aggregate marks obtained at the qualifying examination (HSSC/Diploma), added in the ratio of 1:1 with 50% weightage each for NATA score, and aggregate marks in the subjects of qualifying examination.
- In case the above-combined marks are equal, an applicant with higher NATA marks will be placed higher in order of merit.
- If the NATA marks are also equal, then applicants with higher marks in Mathematics will be placed higher in the merit list.
- If the above marks are also equal, then the applicant with an earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the merit list.
GCET Counselling
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa has released the GCET counseling schedule for admission rounds for admission to the First Year of Engineering and Pharmacy Degree courses. The authorities had earlier commenced the GCET counselling registration in online mode. Candidates who have qualified for the exam have been called for GCET counselling according to the GCET merit list.
GCET Documents required for the GCET counselling process
- Candidates have to provide a Statement of marks/Certificate/provisional certificate of passing H.S.S.C
- Candidates have to provide a Birth certificate
- Candidates School/College leaving certificate/Transfer certificate
- Candidates Aadhaar Card

- Candidates Category Certificate (if applicable)
