GCET Exam 2022 – Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa has announced the GCET 2022 Application, Counselling registration dates. The online application form of GCET 2022 was released in August 2022

The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa shall conduct Goa Common Entrance Test 2022 (GCET) for admissions to Engineering and Pharmacy, in the state of Goa, for the academic year 2022-23. Admissions in Architecture shall be on the basis of NATA as per details given under eligibility. Admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy) and BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc.&A.H. and Nursing courses shall be based on NEET UG-2022 scores.

Candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Professional Degree courses in MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy), BAMS (Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and Nursing in the colleges within the State of Goa during the academic session 2022-2023, must appear and have a valid score in NEET UG-2022 and should fulfill other eligibility criteria. Merit list for these courses shall be based only on the NEET UG-2022 score

GCET 2022 Application Form

  1. Applicants first visit the official website of GCET 2022
  2. Applicant have to click on the ‘Register’ tab and provide their valid email ID. A password of choice has to be generated
  3. After the registration process is completed, a verification link will be sent to the registered email ID
  4. Applicants will have to click on the verification link and log in to fill the GCET 2022 application form with the required personal, academic and contact details. Photograph and signature of the candidates should also be uploaded
  5. Applicants have to pay the application fee of Rs. 2000 in online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card)
  6. After the fee is paid, the Applicant will be able to select their choice of exam centre as per preference.
  7. Submission of Application Form last step the applicants will have to submit the online application form of GCET 2022.

GCET Exam 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have already passed/have appeared, or are appearing at HSSC (Std. XIIth Science) or equivalent examination, before the start of the academic session, are eligible to appear at GCET–21.

Nationality: Candidate should be Indian nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria under various categories. Non-resident Indians holding Indian passports may apply for seats reserved under the NRI category

Age: Candidate to Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Science, B.V.Sc.&A.H. and Nursing must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2022

Valid Score (GCET-2021/NEET UG-2021/NATA): Candidate in Engineering and Pharmacy, must have appeared and obtained a valid score in GCET for the year of admission. GCET score of the previous years shall not be valid.

For Medicine, Dentistry, BHMS(Homeopathy), BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc.&A.H. and Nursing Degree courses, an applicant must have appeared and obtained a valid score/rank at NEET UG-2021 conducted by NTA.

Qualifying Examination & Minimum Marks: An applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination, which in scope and standard, is deemed to be equivalent to the H.S.S.C. examination of Goa Board, and must have obtained the minimum percentage of marks in the specific subjects, as prescribed for the admission to respective professional courses

GCET exam eligibility criteria for different courses given below in detail

OR passed Diploma (in Engineering &Technology) examination with atleast 45% marks (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST, and OBC only)
B. PharmThe applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XIIth) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology subject
B.ArchNo candidate shall be admitted to Architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects or passed 10+ 3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. No direct lateral admission is allowed at any other year/stage of B.Arch. course based on any qualification
MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, AHS & B.Sc. in NursingApplicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XIIth) examination of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English and secured not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology took together. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST, and OBC only and 45% for applicants belonging to PwD category, for MBBS and BDS Course)
B.Sc. in NursingApplicants should have passed HSSC (qualifying exam) in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, and obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General Category, (40% aggregate marks in subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC category)

GCET Exam Merit List 2022

Eligibility and Merit List for the admissions of MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy), BAMS (Ayurveda), AHS, B.V.Sc. &A.H. & Nursing courses shall be prepared based on applicant’s performance at NEET 2022, using NEET UG-2022 AIR issued, as applicable. For these courses, eligibility and merit list criteria specified by the respective regulatory authority shall be applicable

GCET Exam Engineering Merit List 2022

  1. Merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of GCET–2022 in the subjects of Physics and Mathematics.
  2. In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicant with more marks in GCET-2022 Mathematics shall be placed higher in the merit list.
  3. In case the marks in Mathematics are also equal, applicant with more marks in GCET-2021 Chemistry will be placed higher in the merit list.
  4. In case the marks in GCET-2021in Chemistry are also equal, applicant with more aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std.XIIth) will be placed higher in the merit list. In case of tie at this stage, applicant scoring more marks in Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std.XIIth) will be placed higher in the merit list
  5. If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.

GCET Exam Pharmacy Merit List 2022

  1. The merit list shall be based on aggregate marks scored at GCET-2021in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry.
  2. In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicant with more marks in GCET-2022 Chemistry shall be placed higher in the merit list.
  3. In case the marks in GCET-2021in Chemistry are also equal, applicant with more aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry at the qualifying examination (Std.XIIth) will be placed higher in the merit list. In case of tie at this stage, applicant scoring more marks in Chemistry at the qualifying examination (Std.XIIth) will be placed higher in the merit list.
  4. If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.

GCET Exam Architecture Merit List 2022

  • The merit list shall be based on aggregate of marks obtained in NATA and the aggregate marks obtained at the qualifying examination (HSSC/Diploma), added in the ratio of 1:1 with 50% weightage each for NATA score, and aggregate marks in the subjects of qualifying examination
  • In case the above combined marks are equal, applicant with higher NATA marks will be placed higher in order of merit
  • If the NATA marks are also equal, then applicant with higher marks in Mathematics will be placed higher in the merit list
  • If the above marks are also equal, then the applicant with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the merit list

GCET Counselling 2022

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa has released the GCET counselling schedule for admission rounds for admission to First Year of Engineering and Pharmacy Degree courses. The authorities had earlier commenced the GCET 2022 counselling registration in online mode. Candidates who have qualified for the exam have been called for GCET 2022 counselling according to the GCET merit list.

GCET 2022 Documents required for the GCET counselling process

  • Candidates have to provide Statement of marks/Certificate/provisional certificate of passing H.S.S.C
  • Candidates have to provide Birth certificate
  • Candidates School/College leaving certificate/Transfer certificate
  • Candidates Aadhaar Card
  • Candidates GCET 2021 admit card
  • Candidates Photograph : 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) in JPEG/PNG format with file size
  • Candidates Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Eligibility Certificate from Goa University (for candidates passing qualifying examination from Boards other than Goa Board)
  • Income Certificate for TFW seats and fee concession
