After a careful survey and study I made a list of private engineering colleges and state universities that offer M.Tech or MS in Kerala. As AICTE is strict in giving permission to run Masters in Engineering program, these colleges can also be considered as top engineering colleges in Kerala.
For Admission into these colleges in M.Tech, please search for the contact details and call them directly. Please do not hesitate to call them for admission information. Mostly they give an ad in local news papers for admissions to M.Tech program.
You may find Kerala state universities added to list as they also admit student on their own test or interview, definitely they give preference to gate qualified candidates. But mostly non gate students will also get chance in these universities.

The list is not complete. New courses started @ Government & Aided colleges this year (See this link for new courses & college http://dtekerala.gov.in/downloads/mtecheqnew2011.pdf).
Also self financing colleges like Rajagiri, FISAT, etc… offering M-Tech courses(50% seat government merit & 50% seat for management). They are organizing admission on their own based on GATE score or their admission test.

I did M.Tech and I can proudly tell that doing M.Tech is a life time guarantee that you will not be job less irrespective of market situation and also with a good salery all the time.It is a very very good option in many ways.Dont think it is a waste of time and once you crossed a cetain age you will feel that you have wasted your time by not doing M.Tech. Do your PG its worth it. Good Luck

All who reading this who wants to become engineer’s. i mean one who is interested in doing technical works, don’t waste your time for mtech as its just a waste of time also sometimes disqualifies you from certain jobs if you own some mtech degree.
If you don’t want an immediate job or didn’t got one then best option is to do some courses which YOU like the best not one others or university sets for you.
If you like teaching or just need a mtech degree in your identity this is the place to go as you will not get any kind of practical engg experience from this, only some seminar taking experience which is the only requirement for teaching at colleges.
