IIT Guwahati M.Tech Admissions 2015

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati invites applications for admission to various departments for M.Tech. The departments are Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Design (MDes programme. Every department has several specializations. Please visit the below official link for more details.

Eligibility for M.Tech: B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc.(Engg.)/M.Sc. in respective or allied area with a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR score; B.Tech. graduates from IITs with an overall minimum CGPA of 6.5. Candidates of General and OBC category must have secured at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale at the qualifying degree level; but for SC/ST/PD category candidates, this percentage is 55% or 5.50 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
The aggregate marks awarded for the qualifying degree will be considered for eligibility.

Eligibility for a specialization within a Department may depend on the candidate’s choice of test paper in GATE.

    hey i secured gate score 446 in gate 2016 from eee.so can any one tell me whether there is any possibility to get admission in iit’s or nit’s.

    Hey I secure score of 423 in gate 2015 from mechanical engineering. So can any one tell, there is any possibility to get any IIT or NIT for M.Tech in Mechanical related branch.

    Hi IITG Applicants,

    1. If you are planning to stay in hostel, please bring a thick bed sheet because they may not provide mattress (and the bed is metallic).
    2. If you are planning to stay in the city, please start at least three hours early due to an office time jam (at the Saraighat Bridge connecting the city and the campus).
