IIIT Tiruchirappalli offers undergraduate programs. The selection of candidates for IIIT Trichy’s BTech program is based on their JEE Main score. The counseling process is managed and regulated by JoSAA based on which candidates are allotted seats. The seat allotment is based on the college cutoff and the candidate’s preference for courses and colleges.

M.Tech Admission 2025
IIIT Trichy offers two main specializations in its M.Tech program namely, Computer Science and Engineering and VLSI Systems.
M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
- Students who are applying for M.Tech must have passed their BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks in a relevant subject.
M.Tech Selection Criteria
- Admission is through a counseling process based on the rank obtained in the GATE Exam.
- Candidates have to select the college at the time of counseling.
- Based on the rank obtained and college selected, seat allotment will be done
- Selected candidates will be intimidated by a call.
- All the selected candidates need to report to the college for further admission process along with valid documents.
M.Tech Original Certificates/Documents to be uploaded by the candidate
The candidates who got seat allotment under the CCMT-2025 process for provisional admission into M.Tech. programmes of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Tiruchirappalli for the academic year 2025-26 are requested to submit/upload the documents through
- Provisional Admission Letter downloaded from the CCMT 2025 portal
- Receipt of the balance fee paid to the institute
- GATE score card
- Original Photo ID proof as per Govt. of India norms
- Original Class X Mark sheet or original Birth certificate (in English/Hindi)
- Original Class XII Mark sheet
- Original Statement of Grades/Marks obtained in the qualifying Examination (UG) (preferably Consolidated Grade/Mark Sheet with all subjects mentioned in it)
- Original Degree / Provisional Certificate
- Original Course Completion Certificate for result awaiting candidates
- Original Transfer/Leaving Certificate issued from the institute last studied/attended
- Original Migration Certificate, for other than Tamil Nadu candidates
- Original Certificate of Category (EWS / OBC / SC / ST), if applicable, issued by the competent authority as per the prescribed format (EWS/OBC category certificate must be issued on or after 01.04.2022).
- Original Caste Validity certificate for Maharashtra State Candidates, if not available, upload an undertaking as per CCMT format
