1. Difference between Science and Engineering PhD?
For PhD remember your work matters more now as you already have a degree in engineering, you PhD would only add value to it. Yes if you have a science background, things are bit different in India but abroad rest is same.2. Will you be able to teach in IITs and NITs?
Yes you will be if you qualify the interview. As you have a basic degree in Engineering you can teach in any technical institute in India.

Hello friends
I have a doubt in my mind. I am B.E.(ECE) and M.E.(ECE) now wish to do Ph.D.
In KUK haryana (http://www.kuk.ac.in) I have applied for Ph.D. in Electronic Science department. I have cleared UGC NET in Electronic Science. I have also applied in NIT Kurukshetra for Ph.D. in ECE department. Now my question is Ph.D. from KUK and NIT are same or different. will I be eligible to teach in any NIT or IIT after doing Ph.D. from KUK in Electronic Science department?
Kindly clarify my doubt with some eligible documentary proof from any govt. department.
