        Anybody any idea or any genuine guesses on how many students will appear in GATE 2012 in CS ?

        Hello My Friends,

        I want to ask you about eligibility criteria of GATE. I have completed MCA 2008 passout, Can I elligible for gate exam? Or i am eligible for M.Tech at ISI(Kolkata), IIT or other well known M.Tech institutions?

        Currently I am working as a Sr.Programmer in a mid level company.

        Subhadeep sir, you are eligible for GATE as the eligibility criteria for the same includes the candidates who are:
        “Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.”

        If so is the case then suggest title for those who had job but left it for GATE preparation.

        (A) Sir-less (B) Job-less (C) Both A & B (D) NONE

        Hey friends……First of all I would like to wish You a very happy and heartwarming DIWALI….
        Myself Dipankar Shyam working in a small IT company(But good salary) and definately not satisfied with this Job/Kind of work and planning to resign.Thats why I have beeen preparing for GATE-2012 and hoping for somthing good. Well my point is…..Am I going in the right path???
        Well I have always been an AVERAGE(sometimes below average)student. But pursuing M. Tech from one of the best colleges/University is my biggest dream(at this point of my life)…So , please advise on this..Whether I should go with my dreams or face the reality and try to earn big bucks in this same field????

        My ward is good in study (B Tech, Reputed college CS 8.9 CPI) and has a software development job at Pune since six month. Off late has developed aversion due to repeatitive and boring nature of job and wants to further education. Score in Gate 2010 was 96% and now appearing for CAT 2011. GRE 2010 was 1280. What could be advice for future. Are there any good options for Govt jobs including teaching ?Regards
