I heard from lots of my friend that there are very few seats in IIT for Mtech CSE as compared to other engg. streams. Also if you belong to open category you can get admitted to IIT if you have rank less than 300, but still people with 700-1000 rank get admitted to IIT in Mtech not in CS but other applied departments like Mathematics with computer applications and similar to that. I am not aware of exactly what do they mean, but whether it is good go for these courses rather than plain Mtech CSE degree. Please Dr. Zahid need your insight on this topic. Kindly put some light on placements or job prospect with these degrees.
