NIT Durgapur invites applications for admission to Mater degree in Engineering (M.Tech) in the following departments, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Geology, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Physics, Information Technology. Each department offers many courses under them. Please refer to the blow official link for more information.
Eligibility for Admission:
B.E./B. Tech. or equivalent Engineering Degree in the relevant field of study.
Admission procedure:
GATE-qualified candidates will be given preference for admission to Full-Time M. Tech. programmes. In case of non-availability of enough number of GATE-qualified candidates, the resulting vacant seats will be filled with non-GATE candidates strictly based on merit through a written test followed by viva-voce.
Full-Time GATE-qualified candidates: 70% weightage on GATE Score and 30% weightage on viva-voce. GATE-qualified candidates for admission to Full-Time programmes are required to appear for a viva-voce in respective departments at NIT, Durgapur.
Full Time non-GATE, Full-Time Sponsored and Part-time candidates: 30% weightage on written Test, 40% weightage on viva-voce in respective departments at NIT, Durgapur and 30% weightage on Percentage of Marks / CGPA obtained in the last qualifying examination.

Gourav: Yes you are eligible for M.Tech in any institute in India, once you are qualified GATE you can apply in NITs too.

friends told me that 60% marks in qualifying degree is compulsory for m tech admissions in all nits in india.is it?
ya,Ajaas , if u belongs to gen category then 60 % is the elligibility marks for M.Tech in any IIT and NIT……..
but sometimes (like IIT MADRAS) they have own’s criteria like 65 % ……
