VECTOR CALCULUS Gradient and directional derivative – Divergence and curl – Irrotational and solenoidal vector fields – Line integral over a plane curve – Surface integral – Area of a curved surface – Volume integral -Greens, Gauss divergence and Stokes theorems – Verification and applications in evaluating line, surface and volume integrals.

FOURIER TRANSFORMS Statement of Fourier integral theorem- Fourier transform pair – Fourier sine and cosine transforms – Properties – Transforms of simple functions – Convolution theorem -Parsevals identity.
