SATELLITE ORBITS 9 Keplers Laws, Newtons law, orbital parameters, orbital perturbations, station keeping, geo stationary and non Geo-stationary orbits – Look Angle Determination- Limits of visibility – eclipseSub satellite point -Sun transit outage-Launching Procedures – launch vehicles and propulsion.

SATELLITE LINK DESIGN 9 Basic link analysis, Uplink and Downlink Design equation, Free space loss-Atmospheric effects, Ionospheric scintillation, Rain induced attenuation and interference, system noise temperature, Link Design with and without frequency reuse.

Unit V

SATELLITE APPLICATIONS 9 INTELSAT Series, INSAT, VSAT, Mobile satellite services: GSM, GPS, LEO, MEO, Satellite Navigational System. GPS-Position Location Principles, Differential GPS, Direct Broadcast satellites (DBS/DTH).
