Type of Information and Communication Infrastructure for Telemedicine
Audio, video, still images, text and data, fax-type of communications and network: PSTN, POTS, ANT, ISDN, internet, air/ wireless communications, GSM satellite, micro wave, Mobile health and ubiquitous healthcare.

Unit III

Ethical and Legal Aspects of Telemedicine
Confidentiality, patient rights and consent: confidentiality and the law, the patient-doctor relationship, access to medical records, consent treatment – data protection and security, jurisdictional issues, intellectual property rights.
