Course Objective:
The course aims to,
- learn the gross histology, structure and functions of various organs of the human body
- perform the physiological tests and appreciate the interlinked mechanisms in the maintenance of normal functioning of the human body

- Study of different systems with the help of models (axial skeleton, appendicular skeleton, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, nervous system, special senses, reproductive system)
- Principles of mounting tissue, examination, preservation,
- Microscopic study of different tissues, epithelial, muscular, connective tissue, nervous tissue
- Determination of bleeding and clotting time
- Determination of R.B.C. count of blood
- Estimation of Haemoglobin
- Enumeration of W.B.C. count of blood
- Determination of differential count of blood
- Determination of Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate
- Blood group determination
- Heart rate and blood pressure recording
- Identification of human bones and joints, anatomic features
- Determination of vital capacity
