SHEET METAL FORMING 9 Introduction – Sheet metal characteristics – Conventional sheet metal forming processes like shearing, bending and miscellaneous forming processes – High energy rate forming processes – Super plastic forming processes – Deep drawing process – Principles, process parameters, advantages, limitations and applications of the above – Formability of sheet metals – Equipments – Defects – Design for manufacturing – Economics of sheet metal forming.
