BASIC ON THEORY OF ELASTICITY 9 Definitions- notations and sign conventions for stress and strain, Equations of equilibrium. Strain -displacement relations, Stress – strain relations, Lames constant -cubical dilation, Compressibility of material, bulk modulus, Shear modulus, Compatibility equations for stresses and strains, Principal stresses and principal strains, Mohrs circle, Saint Venants principle.

NON LINEAR AND HISTORY DEPEND PROBLEMS 9 Small strain hypo-elastic materials – Small strain visco-plasticity – Large strain elasticity -Large strain visco-plasticity.
