LINEAR PROGRAMMING Introduction to operations research – Linear programming, problem formulation, graphical solution, solution by simplex method – Sensitivity analysis, application to design and operation of reservoir, single and multipurpose development plans – Irrigation water allocation- Cropping pattern optimization.

OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUES Integer and parametric linear programming – Applications to Irrigation water management- Goal programming models with applications.
