Human Figure Drawing.

Figure Proportions of Male, Female and Child – Mechanical Principles of the human frame – Relative proportions of Bones by Head – Method of Drawing figure – Drawing of different postures – Brief study of method of drawing human parts – Head -Neck -Mouth – Nose – Arms – Hands – Legs – Foot – Sectional Drawing of Male & Female torso. Instruction in drawing the male and female fashion figure.

Unit III

Development Of Texture Effects.

Textures – Use of different textures on surfaces- flat rendering Techniques, Wax Resist, Wax Crayon, Sponged and Collage.

Fabric Presentation – Rendering work drawing of Quilting, Satin, Faux fur, Wool, Lace, Fringing, Knitted Velvet and Viscose.

Design Development

Basic body types – clothing silhouettes- Stylized Drawing from imagination. Developing a range of fashionable garment from basic silhouette. Drawing forms – Using water colour for Transparent effect – Drawing opacity effect with poster colour – Colour Pencil for Transparent effect. Design Development from Photography- the use of line movement, proportion and color to achieve flattering marketable fashion design.
