Unit II
INKJET PRINTING TECHNOLOGY 9
Introduction – Ink jet technologies – Aspect to consider and metrics to use in print head selection process- Companies currently active in print head technology – Future trends – Drop formation from particle-laden liquids – Drop impaction – future trends.

FANCY STYLES OF PRINTING 9
Preparation of hosiery cloth for printing – Tubular and slit open forms, Garments form -. Fancy styles – Khadi printing, Plastic prints, pearl prints, glitters metallic prints (Gold and Silver ), Flock printing by electro static method. Transfer printing – wet transfer, film release transfer and sublimation transfer printing – limitation and advantage.
Unit V
GARMENT PRINTING 9
Garment printing machine- limitation and advantages. Principles of CAD system, Laser engraving, wax jet engraving, and ink jet engraving – Digital inkjet printing – Brief study – advantage and limitation.
