- To train the students in pattern engineering of garments

Development of Patterns Using Drafting Method of Pattern Making
- Women – formal, casual and party wear
- Men – formal, casual and party wear
- Children – uniform, playtime wear and sleep suits.
- Grading of patterns
Development of Patterns Using Draping Method of Pattern Making
- Basic bodice – front and back
- Bodice with dart variations
- Gored, flared skirts, Jeans, jumpsuits
- Sleeves, collar (convertible, peter-pan collar, turtle neck collar, shawl collar).
- Neckline cowl, side seam cowl, bias cowl.
Course Outcome:
Upon completion of this practical course, the students will be able to
- Develop patterns for womens, mens and childrens garments
- Do grading of patterns
- Develop patterns for basic bodice, gored, flared skirts, jeans and jumpsuits
