PLANT VARIETY-TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE -GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS 9 Plant variety- Justification, criteria for protection of plant variety and protection in India. Traditional knowledge- Concept of traditional knowledge, protection of traditional knowledge under Intellectual Property frame works in national level and Traditional knowledge digital library (TKDL). Geographical Indications – Justification for protection, National and International position.

INTERNATIONAL BACKGROUND OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 9 International Background of Intellectual Property- Paris Convention, Berne convention, World Trade Organization (WTO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) and Patent Co-operation Treaty (PCT).
