GOVERNING BODIES FOR SHIPPING INDUSTRY Role of IMO (International Maritime Organization), SOLAS (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea), MARPOL (International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships ) , MLC (Maritime Labour Convention), STCW 2010 (International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers), Classification societies Administration authorities
