COMPUTER AIDED MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL SYSTEMS 9 Role of computers in measurement and control, Elements of computer aided measurement and control, man-machine interface, computer aided process control hardware, process related interfaces, Communication and networking, Industrial communication systems, Data transfer techniques, Computer aided process control software, Computer based data acquisition system, Internet of things (IoT) for plant automation.

Course Outcomes:

Students able to

  1. Design a signal conditioning circuits for various application (L3).
  2. Acquire a detail knowledge on data acquisition system interface and DCS system (L2).
  3. Understand the basics and Importance of communication buses in applied automation Engineering (L2).
  4. Ability to design PLC Programmes by Applying Timer/Counter and Arithmetic and Logic Instructions Studied for Ladder Logic and Function BIock.(L3)
  5. Able to develop a PLC logic for a specific application on real world problem. (L5)
