Course Objective:

  • To train the students to acquire skill in making precise measurements and obtaining accurate results with Total Station and GPS.

Course Outcome:

On completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to

  1. Gives basic idea about Total station and GPS
  2. Acquire knowledge about electromagnetic waves and its usage in Total station.
  3. Getting idea about working principle of electro optical and Microwave Total station
  4. Understand the working of GPS
  5. Understand the Geometry of the earth, Gravity and its relationship with nature
