OBJECTIVE:
To train the students on different plastic processing Techniques such as extrusion, compression moulding, calendaring, FRP processing etc.
LIST OF EXPERIMENTS
- Preparation of Blow moulded products
- Compression moulding of phenolic resin and SMC& BMC
- Injection moulding of thermoplastics – Hand, semiautomatic and Fully automatic
- Extrusion of thermoplastics
- Compounding of plastics
- Preparation of FRP laminates
- Post processing techniques
- Preparation of Thermoformed products
- Recycling of plastic – Scrap grinder
- Casting of polymer films
- Manufacturing practices
TOTAL : 45 PERIODS
OUTCOMES: Upon completing this course, the students
- Will attain the basic knowledge about processing technique.
- Will have knowledge of post processing techniques.
- Will acquire skills in handling processing equipments.
