OBJECTIVES:
To get practical experience on the server – client setup on the database Management system and extending it to spatial data handling
LIST OF EXPERIMENTS :
- Server / client operations
• Starting / Shutdown of server – Client user creation – client connection over network - Data Definition of Tables and Views
• Creation, Deletion and Modification of definition - Data Manipulation
• Insert, delete and modify rows - Queries on Tables and views
• Simple, complex, nested queries
[TOTAL : 60 PERIODS]
OUTCOMES: At the end of the course the student will be able to
- Create database structure and populate database
- Apply geometric functions to derive spatial parameters
- Apply simple overlay and buffering tools on spatial database
