The detailed syllabus for Geodetic Surveying Laboratory B.Tech (R13) fourthsem is as follows
OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this course is to train the students to acquire skills in making
precise measurements and obtaining accurate results.
LIST OF EXPERIMENTS:
I. LEVELLING [32 hours]
- Taking spot levels
- Fly levelling using Dumpy level
- Fly levelling using Tilting level
- Check levelling
- Permanent adjustment of levels
- Contouring
- LS and CS
- Computation of volume of earth work from contours
[TOTAL: 60 PERIODS]
OUTCOMES: At the end of the course the student will be able to
- Observe level differences between stations using different types of leveling techniques
- Compute area, volume of earthwork from levels
- Determine azimuth, latitude and time from astronomical observations
