The detailed syllabus for Geodetic Surveying Laboratory B.Tech (R13) fourthsem is as follows

OBJECTIVES:

The objective of this course is to train the students to acquire skills in making
precise measurements and obtaining accurate results.

LIST OF EXPERIMENTS:

I. LEVELLING            [32 hours]

  • Taking spot levels
  • Fly levelling using Dumpy level
  • Fly levelling using Tilting level
  • Check levelling
  • Permanent adjustment of levels
  • Contouring
  • LS and CS
  • Computation of volume of earth work from contours

OUTCOMES: At the end of the course the student will be able to

  • Observe level differences between stations using different types of leveling techniques
  • Compute area, volume of earthwork from levels
  • Determine azimuth, latitude and time from astronomical observations
