The detailed syllabus for Survey Practical II B.Tech (R13) fourthsem is as follows
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the course the student will posses knowledge about Survey field techniques.
LIST OF EXPERIMENTS:
- Study of theodolite
- Measurement of horizontal angles by reiteration and repetition and vertical
- Theodolite survey traverse
- Heights and distances – Triangulation – Single plane method.
- Tacheometry – Tangential system – Stadia system – Subtense system.
- Setting out works – Foundation marking – Simple curve (right/left-handed) – Transition curve.
- Field observation for and Calculation of azimuth
- Field work using Total Station.
[TOTAL: 60 PERIODS]
OUTCOMES:
Students completing this course would have acquired practical knowledge on handling survey instruments like Theodolite, Tacheometery and Total station and have adequate knowledge to carryout Triangulation and Astronomical surveying including general field marking for various engineering projects and curves setting.
