The detailed syllabus for Biochemistry Laboratory B.Tech 2016-2017 (R13) secondsem is as follows

OBJECTIVES

To learn and understand the principles behind the qualitative and quantitative
estimation of biomolecules (proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, metabolites etc.,) and laboratory analysis of the same in the body fluids.

LIST OF EXPERIMENTS

  • Preparation and measurement of pH of standard buffers (phosphate, carbonate, borate, TRIS etc.,).
  • Qualitative analysis of carbohydrates (monosaccharides, disaccharides, polysaccharides etc.,)
  • Enzymatic hydrolysis of glycogen by α and β amylase
  • Qualitative analysis of proteins
  • Qualitative analysis of lipids (triglycerides, cholesterol, phospholipids etc.,)
