Rationale:
Yarn manufacture is an important process as in textiles the output of the product becomes the raw material for next process namely the fabric manufacture. Practical training inthis subject makes the students to acquire skill and knowledge on the various machines involved in spinning and weaving process.
Objectives:
- Blow Room
- Spinning Preparatory And Spinning
- Weaving Preparatory
- Weaving
- Cloth Analysis
To study the passage of material, speed, production etc., in Blow Room sequence of machines – Hopper bale breaker, Hopper feeder, Step cleaner, ERM cleaner, Kirschner beater, Lap forming unit.
To study the passage of material through a High Production Card, High Speed Draw frame,Modern Simplex frame, High Speed Ring frame.
To study of passage of material through a High Speed cone winding machine High Speed Pirn winding machine, High Speed Warping machine, Modern Multi Cylinder Sizingmachine.
To study passage of material through a Plain, Dobby, Jacquard loom and study various mechanisms.
To Know the Fabric particulars(structure, EPI, PPI, count of Warp & Weft, GSM, Crimp and Cover factor) and suggest the type of loom required to produce such fabric and list the enduses.
