Principle of lead acid cells, plates and their characteristics, construction, electrolyte, effect of temperature on electrolyte, specific gravity, capacity and efficiency, methods of charging from D.C. mains, defects and remedies of batteries, care of idle and new batteries. Recycling Process – Recent developments. D.C. Generators, Alternators -their Characteristics. Control, cutout, Electrical, Electro-mechanical and electronic regulators.
