MHT CET eligibility criteria 2024 will include all the minimum requirements to be eligible for the exam like nationality, age limit, qualifying exam, qualifying marks, candidature type, etc. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2024 before filling out the application form. It must be noted no candidate will be eligible for final admission if he/she does not satisfy the minimum MHT CET 2024 eligibility criteria.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2024

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • There is no age limit to appear in MHT CET 2024.
  • Candidate must have passed HSC/class 12th exam or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical/Vocational subjects.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (HSC/12th) in 2024 are considered eligible.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (for the General Category) and at least 45% marks (for reserved category and Persons with Disability candidates) in an aggregate of 5 subjects.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2024 Engineering Technology, Pharmacy & Pharm.D

TypeEligibility Criteria
Type A(i) Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State
(ii) Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra;
Type BA Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate.
Type CA Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.
Type DA Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B, and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
Type ECandidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi. The 865 villages of Maharashtra Karnataka Border area notified by the State Government for this purpose shall be considered

(2) All India Candidature. -The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this category.
(3) Minority Candidature – The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from the State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this category.

  • It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2024 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. However, All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2023 as the Score of JEE(Main) shall be preferred over MHT-CET 2024 for admission to B.E./B.Tech.
  • It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2024 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature All India Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D.

Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, and Foreign nationals – These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-CET 2023.

  • (a) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2024 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. However All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2024 as a Score of JEE(Main) shall be preferred over MHTCET 2024 for admission to B.E./B.Tech.
  • (b) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2024 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.Pharm/ Pharm.D. However, All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2024 as Score of NEET-2024 shall be preferred over MHT-CET 2024 for admission to B.Pharm. Pharm. D.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria Instructions to the candidates appearing for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) Group

  • The On-Line Question Paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with Four options (answers) for each question.
  • Each question will have Four alternatives (answers) out of which only one alternative/answer will be correct.
  • Physics, and Chemistry subjects will have 1 mark for each question and Mathematics subjects will have 2 marks for each question.
  • The total duration of the MHT-CET Examination is 180 Minutes in which the Candidate has to solve 150 questions.
  • There is no Negative Marking.
  • The Questions will be displayed on the computer screen one at a time. Candidates are advised not to spend too much time on any particular question.
  • Questions will be available in English/Urdu/Marathi languages. However, the Question Paper in Urdu & Marathi will only be available to the candidates who have opted for that particular language/medium as preferred Language for the Question Paper in the online CET Application form.
  • Candidates referring to the Marathi and Urdu versions of the Question paper should take note of the fact that they should refer to the Original English Version In Case of Doubt.
  • In case of any dispute regarding the question, the Original English version will be considered as Final.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria Instructions to the candidates appearing for Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) Group.

  • The On Line Question Paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with Four options (answers) for each question.

  • Candidates referring to Marathi and Urdu version of the Question paper should take a note of the fact that they should refer to the Original English Version In Case of Doubt.
  • In case of any dispute regarding the question, the Original English version will be considered as Final.

MHT-CET 2024 Online Application Form

Application form processing fees as stated in the table given below are to be paid through online mode for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees.

On successful payment of the application fee, a confirmation of the same will be displayed online.
